Copeland Furniture is Green Furniture
The Copelend promise to their customers is to build furniture with the best materials and workmanship available today; furniture that will be handed down for future generations to use daily and to enjoy its enduring beauty for years to come with preservation and stewardship reflected in each piece of furniture.
Sustainably Harvested Hardwoods: American Northern Forest
The Northern Forest in American is increasing in standing biomass making it one of the healthiest in the world. With this increase in size it is able to absord more carbon dioxide each year. The forests in Vermont are no exception now covering 85% of the state. Lumber used is from within 500 miles of the factory. Less fossil fuels and carbon dioxide is emitted by sourcing lumber and raw materials within this radius of the factory.
(FSC) Forest Stewardship Council certified
Copeland works in cooperation with the Smartwood program of the Rainforest Alliance. It requires Copeland to work with suppliers who can certify that the wood purchased comes from forests that are not threatened, have no genetically modified trees and do not have a high conservation significance. SmartWood audits Copeland's records annually. FSC-certified woodlots and FSC-certified sawmills are the preferred sources of wood for Copeland products.

(Best) Excellent. Well packaged. Very few if any issues ever with this product in shipping.
NOTES: Packaging on Copeland Furniture involves materials inside the box as well as heavy corugated boxing around the outside of the bed as well. We have been shipping Copeland Furniture products for over 5 years now and have found that the packaging is well designed for shipping with both our standard carriers and white glove carriers alike. We have had reported instances where the box itself may have seen rough handling but the contents inside were unaffected. Overall we have had no issues in shipping Copeland products and are confident they will get to our customer's homes without issues.
Features & Options
(Better) Better than average color or finish choices. Bed may also have additional features.
Copeland Furniture beds are offered in several finishes per bed. generally each bed will have 3 or 4 finishes available in a specific wood such as cherry, maple or walnut depending on the bed style. There are other manufacturers who offer a dozen or more finishes on their beds which does indicate that Copeland Furniture is offered with less finish options than others available in the market. Copeland Furniture is available with a standard finish or a waterbourne finish which features no chemicals. These beds are also available in custom extra long sizes.
