Furniture provides serveral choices in the way of woods and finishes.
Red Oak and Maple are two domestic hardwood choices available for all

used on Nomad Furniture products which is safe and non-toxic.
Note: Maple danish oil is very light and to some may look unfinished.
Danish oil is hand applied and soaks into the wood. No chemical
lacquers or sealants are used in this product. Nomad Furniture can also

About Nomad Furniture:
More
than thirty two years ago an American cabinet maker and wood worker by
the name of Dave Cady in Albuquerque New Mexico decided to start a
small furniture manufacturing company in his garage which he would call
Ramblin Wood. Over the years Dave's love for wood working (which
includes building boats) grew as did the size of his company which soon
would move into a 6,000 square foot facility to keep up with furniture
orders.
Through the years Dave designed and developed an
entire line of affordable solid wood platform beds, tables, under bed
drawers, chairs, desks and accessories that all had the unique
distinction of allowing customers to select customizable options, woods
and finishes. This allowed individuals to create the product that would
be the perfect addition to thier own home rather than simply settling
for something else. He preferred a clean look to furniture which meant
each piece of furniture was designed with hidden hardware and no
exposed screws or bolts. Dave also preffered the use of a natural
Danish Oil finish for his products rather than using chemicals or
lacquers which was an eco-friendly choice already in place before
"being green" became popular.
As a retailer we always
appreciated the quick turn around time of these made to order products
and for creating so many customized product requests (no questions
asked) over the years for very satisfied customers. It's no wonder
Ramblin Wood built quite the reputation, following and loyalty among
both its customers and retailers. In 2008, Dave felt he had achieved
the success he had always envisioned for the company and sold it so
that he could spend time on his "Lost and Found Ranch" with his wife
raising his sheep, cattle, chickens and enjoying the beautiful sunsets
south of Albuquerque.
However, Dave "missed the saw dust" as
he says on his company website. To the delight of many of his past
customers and retailers Dave has now opened up Nomad Furniture to
continue on the rich traditions of making affordable, well built solid
wood furniture. It is with great delight that PlatformBeds.com is now
offering Nomad Furniture platform beds and nightstands. We're sure
you'll be pleased with the quality and construction of these American
made beds that are manufactured to order with the options you want,
just for you.
