The Elemental Platform Bed offers modern straight clean lines in a flat
panel styled bed. Three drawers are features on each side of the bed. The
Everest bed includes a headboard, footboard, rails, center support, legs
and metal base with slats. The Elemental is available in Queen and King
size beds as well as with matching Nightstands, Dresser, Mirror and Chest.
Available in 17 finishes. Made in Canada.

Standard Shipping:
This bed is shipped "Standard Curbside Delivery Service" a service
which we provide at no additional cost. When your product is shipped out
we'll provide you with a tracking number and a phone number to call to schedule
delivery. Beds are shipped unassembled in several flat boxes for easier
handling and will require some light assembly before use. Casegoods such
as nightstands, dressers, chests, etc. come fully assembled in their boxes.
Handles for these units are secured on the inside of the drawers with the
screws on the outside to prevent shipping damage to the handles and will
need to be flipped around before use in your home. These products are made
to order by the manufacturer in the color of your choice. Due to the special
order nature of these beds we ask that customers please allow 5-6 weeks
for delivery.
White Glove Shipping:
"White Glove Delivery Service" is an optional delivery service for
regular bed orders or included free as a special offer with 4 Pc. & 5 Pc.
Passions bedroom set packages (See Packages Below). Experienced furniture
professionals will handle your bedroom set carefully and confidently and
will bring your furniture to the correct room, carefully unpacking your
furniture and placing it where you want it. The delivery service will call
you and make arrangements for a specific day and time (often within a 2-4
hour window) for delivery of your furniture. Bedroom Sets are Special Order
due to the many finishes available. Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery.
Please Note: Liability issues and time required prevent us from offering
assembly of beds or ready-to-assemble products. All products however will
be inspected and placed in the room of your choice. Casegoods such as: Nightstands,
Chests, Dressers and Armoires are delivered fully assembled.

Elemental Casegoods:
Drawer fronts feature birch wood construction. Drawer box is constructed
from engineered wood which is medium density fiberboard using butt joints
which line each piece up edge to edge. The drawer box is attached to the
drawer front face through pilot holes that are drilled and then is mounted
using steel screws to ensure a strong and durabable bond between drawer
box and drawer face. 1/4" industry standard drawer bottoms are used
in each drawer. These bottoms are fitted into the front and sides of the
drawer boxes through a routed out channel ensuring a proper fit. Drawer
sides and bottom are finished to match the outside of the casegood unit.

Example
Steel quadro drawer glide runners are featured on each unit. A toolless
height adjustment thumbwheel is located beneath the drawer. This thumbwheel
works by moving it with your thumb and causes the movement of a wedge into
position between the drawer bottom and runner to adjust the pitch of the
drawer. Finger triggers at the bottom of each drawer make removing the drawer
or putting it back into the casegood simple and easy. Steel

 Construction
& Materials Information:
This line of Canadian platform beds and casegoods are made from Canadian
birch veneers. Birch is typically found growing in colder northern climates.
This species of tree is closely related to the beech and oak family of
trees. What makes birch a great choice in lumber is its tensile strength
and the ease of being grown from seeds and sapplings. All birch has a
finely, uniformed texture with closed pores and no significant aroma.
Closed pores means that the wood is easier to stain and finish making
it a great choice for use in furniture, flooring, violins and many other
products. Birch loses almost 15% of its volume when going from green lumber
to dry lumber as it air dries. This is considered to be a fair amount
of shrinkage when compared to other species of wood. Birch has a tendency
to warp and twist during air drying if enough weight is not applied to
the wood. Once dried, birch is very stable and easy to work with. Birch
has very attractive characteristics. It's a straight-grained wood that
has a fine and even texture. Birch trees can reach sixty five feet in
height and about thirty inches in diameter.
 Some
interesting facts about birch. The First Nations of North America prized
birch for its bark. Its bark could be easily stripped from fallen birch
trees and the wood was often used in the construction of wigwams, bowls
and lightweight canoes. Hardwood birch trees also exhibit excellent short-fibre
pulp qualities and are used in making printing paper. Birch wood is sometimes
used as a tonewood due to its natural resonance in high and low frequencies.
You'll find it used in the construction of speaker cabinets and prior
to the 1970's was used in drum manufacturing. Another quite popular use
for birch is for acoustic and semi-acoustic guitar bodies as well as solid-body
guitars. Some species of birch produce a sap that can be processed into
a syrup, vinegar or birch wine. Birch syrup is quite difficult to produce
and is more expensive than other food syrups but not considered as sweet. |
